Watersong is Midland’s wild space, home to an urban playa that attracts wildlife, sustains verdant vegetation, and offers people a place of tranquility, adventure, and learning.

Opened to the public in 2013 as the I-20 Wildlife Preserve, Watersong Wild Space is a 100-acre riparian forest campus in Midland, Texas. The 86-acre urban playa lake is the highlight of the wetlands, floodplain thickets, and prairie grasslands – providing abundant avian, wildlife, and aquatic habitat. The urban playa is a treasured ecotourism destination of regional significance and a science education resource of the Permian Basin.

Join us for a morning of connection, clarity, and nature. We’re bringing the studio to the shore for a gentle Pilates session designed to align your mind and body with the natural world.

  • Time: 9:00 AM (Please arrive by 8:30 AM to allow for the walk to the Education Platform)

  • Where: Watersong (Meeting at the Education Platform)

  • Cost:Free to the public ages 13+

Why Attend?

This isn’t your high-intensity gym workout. This is a gentle movement class focused on the synergy between your breath, your core, and the environment around you. Whether you're a Pilates pro or have never touched a mat, you are welcome here.

  • Owner and Pilates teacher

    Bettina began practicing Pilates in 2021 in McKinney, TX. Within a few short months, she entered into Teacher Training with with Hilary Opheim in Los Angeles.

    She opened the Grace and Dunraven studios after arriving in Midland in 2023.

    She is an NCPT and certified by The National Pilates Certification Program, which is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCAA).

    Bettina is comprehensibly trained with over 700 hours of training.

    She has been married to an Aggie for 24 years, has a son studying Computer Science.

    Her passion projects include: Friendship House,‍ ‍a place of fellowship, recreation and work opportunities to special needs adults in a Christian environment.

    She loves running around with her dog and can never figure out what to make for dinner.
