Indah!
The hardest part of moving to Midland was leaving my Pilates friends and colleagues.
I worked for a franchise studio, but there was never time to visit with my fellow teachers.
Another studio in town treated me with such contempt and suspicion that I never went back.
I was in a Pilates desert looking for an oasis. Midland also is desert.
Until - I received an email from Indah asking about mat classes and that she was going through Pilates Mat training.
Yes!!!!!! Please come to my classes and then we can discuss.
Talking on the phone for the first time, we discovered our husbands work together and that she lives les than a mile away!
I wasn’t worried about Indah being competition or trying to steal clients. We both approach Pilates from a different mind set.
The T/Th am class was SO excited because two of them had lived in Indonesia, spoke a little Bahasa. and immediately adopted her.
It was so nice to have a friend who was also a teacher. What a blessing!
When Indah finished her training, I invited her to do some student teaching. She was intentional and warm. Her voice purrs.
Then the idea for Camp Pilates was born. Indah’s boys were going to summer camp at Midland College. We both wanted to share the classical and traditional work of Joseph Pilates plus a little discussion of the movements.
Indah is a social media maven and I’m so grateful. She has done the fliers and video and filled everything with color while I concentrate on the writing. She’ll also be teaching beside me during Camp Pilates.
I can’t wait for all you to meet her.
